Does no one else notice the parallels between Caplan and Orwell?

I.e. brilliant men who are correct and write effectively and persuasively on many important big topics, but despite this still get one big topic wrong?

In Orwell’s cases, it’s being for “democratic socialism” rather than free markets.

In Caplan’s case it’s being for completely open borders in our real current world with a generous welfare state.
