I prefer Ayn Rand's less nuanced definitions where she says that the difference between socialism and communism is that the former is "suicide" while the later is "murder", presumably because socialism entails some level of choice or employs "democracy" to initiate the transition .

When I ask young US people today to define capitalism, I get a similar definition.

Words are defined with biased definitions all the time. If you favor legal abortions, you are "pro-choice." Who wouldn't want more choice?

"angry at the ass (donkey) - he's beating the sack" - Caplan's acute anger is not about an old soviet dictionary that defined words exactly as you would expect, is it? So, what exactly is it about? Something to horrible to mention?
