I'd like to hear from feminist mothers of large families (if any such exist!) It seems that most of the people who choose to have 3+ kids simply do not care about maintaining an egalitarian relationship, which makes the "selfish reasons" less convincing for someone who does.

I can think of one friend whose wife is definitely a feminist, and they have 3. Though I'm not sure precisely what "egalitarian relationship" means -- she has strong ideas about education and has taken off work to "home school" them through at least the preschool years.

I'd agree that practically no one is going with a pure daycare approach with more than 2 kids, if that's what "egalitarian" means here.

Advice from my husband - we have three. https://www.jefftk.com/p/equal-parenting-advice-for-dads

I've done more during the first year with each baby, but after that he's done at least as much.

Would Nancy Pelosi (5 kids) or Amy Coney Barret (5 biological 2 adopted) count as being in an egalitarian relationship?
