Okayama's great if you want to see non-tourist Japan. This place had (~1 month ago) excellent food, hosts and patrons. Small neighborhood izakaya restaurant
I live in Kawasaki right next to the JR station there. Nice little area right next to the state has a great Burger King. It's no more than a 2 minute walk from the station and Kawasaki is 4 stops from Tokyo Station. Big nice easy America seating. If you guys are down, let me know.
