Writing Books that Deserve to Be Read
A UATX bonus lecture
Here are the slides for a talk I gave earlier today at UATX. There is some overlap with my earlier essay, “Seven Guidelines for Writing Worthy Works of Non-Fiction,” but I haven’t publicly said most of this before. Enjoy!
P.S. Games and karaoke continue at UATX this week! Games tonight (Thurs) at 6 PM, karaoke tomorrow (Fri) at 6 PM. Someone will be in the UATX lobby at 6 PM to admit you.

Thank you for picturing a book I love to quote when I like to show the utter hypocrisy of American women and their moral outrage at people like Epstein or people that eat meat.
Good advice. "A lot of what readers are buying is the author’s personal charisma and a
feeling of social connection to the author.". Yeah - like, I post here (and sometimes send you private emails) despite the fact that we only met once for like 45 seconds and you don't remember who I am.
