I haven’t been in the tri-state area since COVID, but next week, I return in force. Two big events:
July 28-August 2, I’ll be speaking at Princeton University for the John Locke Institute’s summer school. I’ll be speaking on education, immigration, housing, and flogging. No joke! Events are not open to the public, but email me if you want to meet up.
August 1, I will be performing five minutes of stand-up comedy at the Comedy Cellar’s New Joke Night. The show starts at 8:30. No idea when I’ll get my time on stage, but my “peers” (superiors, really) are supposed to be famous comedians trying out new material. Though considered funny by some, I have never officially done stand-up before. So perhaps I’ll totally bomb. Even so, I consider it an extreme “It’s an honor just being nominated” situation. Though I must confess that I’m so prone to extreme daydreaming that I’m already visualizing my first Netflix special…
Brian, you have to do 100% economist jokes. Like the two economists who found themselves in a deep hole. "First, assume you have a ladder....."
Good luck with your comedy routine!
