They used to kick us all out at lunch time at my elementary in the 70s for an hour. We'd walk home to have lunch and watched Underdog on Channel 50 in Dertroit. I can still sing the theme song.

Ha, my mom used to often remind me how inconsolable I was at age 4, when all my TV shows were off during the funeral processions for JFK after his assassination. I still remember the awful droning music from then.

Won’t most of those not old enough to have lived through then just say “Duh - use your DVR”? (The somewhat older might say “Duh - use your VCR”…)
