I’ve heard you say that the partisans of Israeli and Palestinian nationalism are impossible to talk to, and so you usually avoid the topic. Since you’re pushing for maximum candor today, I’d like to ask you: if Israeli policy elites were eager to follow your advice, what would you tell them to do regarding this specific conflict? And separately, if Palestinian elites were eager to follow your advice, what would you tell them to do?
Since this month is the 80th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bombs, what is your view (as a libertarian) of this choice? In your opinion (based on evidence of course) what was the correct course of action? Thank you.
PS—I have read all your posts on pacifism. Was there an alternative to declaring war on Japan?
