Preference for war is, indeed, a subjective preference. The question is: what is an example of an *objective* preference? Isn’t ‘subjective preference’ redundant?
Yes it is. There's no "we". Like Milton Friedman said: "The Government doesn't have a responsibility... this building doesn't have a responsibility... PEOPLE have responsibilities..."
I once heard a scientist claiming that whoever finds a way to make bananas last longer than two weeks after harvest without going bad will be the new Bill Gates. Given that Bill Gates was used as a reference, it's clear that this was the late 1990s or early 2000s, whoever the scientist was. However, I believe whoever finds a way to make libertarians stop being a fringe group will be the new Elon Musk.
Libertarianism is a gun brought to a knife-fight. But it's scared because it thinks the other guy has a canon. What a waste...
Having all the arguments and still losing the popular debates is bad. It hurts. It doesn't look good. I think it's time for libertarians of our world to stop being dormant and claim Musk's spot.
The only way to be popular is to blow with the wind, and I would rather have a good reliable unpopular baseline. We already have two factions of the same weathervane party.

OUR friend Brian. R.I.P. dear man :(
I would be curious to hear what you find unintentionnally hilarious about the bechdel test.
That so many wonderful stories fail it, and would be worse if you rewrote them to pass it.
*Radicals for Capitalism* is a masterpiece.

Beautiful.
As an owner of "Radicals for Capitalism", I was sad to hear this even before I heard he agreed with me on ethics.
That’s so sad. I met him not long ago and he was very nice.
Oh no, terrible news. I've watched and benefited from so many of his interviews. He will be sorely missed.
Wonderful tribute, Bryan.
Touching remembrances. Going to check out the links and Brian's book. Thx.
I’m very sorry to hear. I enjoyed your story.
Sucks. RIP Brian.
