Expanding upon things that are already self evident but people willingly accept makes for great humour. You've already done that in the academic realm so just translate it to comedy.
That looked like a lot of fun. The material about an “honest” college essay has a lot of potential. The acrobat bit was funny, but the coffee bit was less so (shooting and snorting grounds?). Maybe expanding on the search for the right kind of coffee, the wait, and when you finally get to the louvre - the need to find a bathroom every fifteen minutes to unload the coffee…
