I'm happy for you that you seem to have largely avoided dating discourse, but people absolutely invoke the same arguments around power dynamics: hence why increasingly narrow age gaps (e.g. a 26 year old man dating a 21 year old woman) are seen as problematic. People might, for the moment, still think this should be the realm of social norms rather than the law, but people definitely think such relationships shouldn't be 'allowed'.

I’ve been around the block a couple of times. I’ve bee laid off (as the English would say classed as
redundant 3 times). The takeaway is that if you have the opportunity to walk away seriously consider why you are staying.
I've been fired a couple of times, but never really for incompetence or low productivity.
