I basically agree with your point, but to show that Zinn is wrong, you would have to point to something he predicted that didn't happen.
Zinn is saying the predictions of the critics happened in reality -- in particular that the Saigon govt. will fall absent US support.
He does not say all the things which happened in reality were predicted by the critics.
