I’ve got three big events coming up soon. As always, please come say hi if you attend.
I’ll be debating immigration at Dartmouth College on October 20 at 4 PM. My opponent, once again, is Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies. I’ll be hanging around campus all day, so if you want to meet up, just email me. Event details here.
The following week, I’ll be in Austin doing my very first public talk on Don’t Be a Feminist at the University of Texas. Time: October 27 at 4 PM. Location: 4.408 Rowling Hall, 300 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. I’ll be hanging around campus all week, so if you want to meet up, just email me.
The week after that, I’ll be speaking in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the Acton Institute’s Poverty Cure Summit. I’ll be debating Chris Arnade, author of Dignity: Seeking Respect in Back Row America, on poverty. I’ve never debated a photojournalist before, but I suppose he’s never debated a graphic novelist before. So maybe it’s a good match! I won’t be in town long, so if you want to meet up, attend the conference.
Wow, I would really love to see your Arnade debate as I follow both of you. Hope there is a video.
Of course Arnade was also a Wall St. quant and physicist by training so more than a photojournalist just like you are more than a graphic novelist.
Anything more on an LA meetup? You mentioned it on Twitter a week back or so, but I don't know if you decided anything.
